QPO, Kew
In the heart of Kew lies the iconic QPO Restaurant
and Café. QPO is a modern Australian restaurant and function centre and is open
for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I had dinner there with my gorgeous girlfriend and it was hard to find any faults with regards to the décor, the food, the atmosphere and the service. I had the delicious QPO Beef Burger ($20.00) and it featured tomato relish, caramelised onion, lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon, aioli and chips. My partner had the Prawn risotto with baby spinach and cherry tomatoes ($21.00). She thought the meal was a delight!
For dessert the waitress suggested that we try the dark chocolate semi-freddo with hazelnut praline, chocolate soil, fresh mint and raspberry sorbet ($11.00). I was so glad that she did because the dessert was splendid and the rich chocolate soil just melted in my mouth.
While we were having this delicious feast, my partner had a Vavasour “the pass” sauvignon Blanc ($8.00) and I had a Latte ($3.50). The Latte that I received was cold and seemed to be burnt, however my partner loved her wine.
Overall, we loved our time at the QPO
Restaurant and Café and would love to go again.

Shortstop Coffee & Donuts, Melbourne
The issue is that if you go to Shortstop
Coffee and Donuts, you will want them all the time!
My dining partner and I had a mouth
watering experience when we had our ‘Maple, Walnut and Brown Butter Donut’ ($5.00)
and a ‘Rhubarb and Ginger Donut’ ($4.50).
To be honest, I cannot find the words to
describe this most satisfying experience. Instead I will let my photographs
tell the story!
The doughnuts at Shortstop Coffee and
Donuts are easily Melbourne’s best. If you have not been there, I suggest you
go there NOW!

Focus Melbourne Cafe, Balwyn
If you ever want to pick a nice and quiet
café, I would recommend the Focus Melbourne Cafe along Whitehorse Road in
Balwyn. The menu is refreshing and the staff and the atmosphere are extremely
accommodating.
My partner and I recently went to the Café and we have now grown to love it. I had the Wagyu Beef Burger ($18.80) with Kimchi puree, tomato, Gruyere cheese, and pickles and served with a satisfying serve of chips.

My partner had the refreshing Matcha Green
Tea waffle ($16.80), which is topped with roasted nuts, seasonal fruits and coconut
ice cream. I had a try of this magnificent dish and I agree with my partner
that it was terrific!
To cap off our delicious feast, we both had
a Latte ($3.50) and I tried a Chocolate Milkshake ($5), which was extremely
rewarding!
The Focus Melbourne Café ticks every box.
It is a great place for the family, for couples and for any single person who
just wants to have a satisfying experience.

Aqualink Cafe, Box Hill
After a long swimming session, I would never have thought that 10 metres away there would be a delicious and tasty burger waiting for me! That is exactly what happened at the Aqualink Café in Box Hill.
My Beef Burger ($14) was an absolute
bargain! It contained a lightly spiced beef patty with cheese, lettuce,
mayonnaise and tomato on a soft toasted bun. The amount of chips that I received
with the burger was extremely surprising!
My swimming companion had a tasty roll
($7.50) and we had a Honey Oat Slice and a Latte ($3.80) to go with it!
After this experience, I believe that Aqualink Café has the atmosphere and the
service to match any of the places I have been to so far!
